Lou,
I have been doing extensive reaserch since I'm riding from Mexico tis year.
This are the most interesting links I've found:
www.themilepost.com
http://www.members.home.net/adventureds1/
www.lonelyplanet.com
www.adventure-motorcycling.com
www.nnsl.com/inuvik/index.html
There are others that I cannot find in my computer right now. Hope this
helps.

Buy the 2001 edition of 'the Milepost' (usually goes on sale around March). It contains a mile-by-mile description of not only the roads in Alaska (there aren't that many) but also the main roads leading up to Dawson Creek, the starting point of the Alaska Highway. Paulprobably in summar of 01 rather than this summer. I was wondering if anybody can make recommendations on books about riding to Alaska

frozen bolt
With all the talk of swing lubrication, I decided to tackle the job.
The swingarm is off, but one bolt holding the three hole funky thing
won't come out. The nut is off. After lots of WD-40 and Liquid wrench,
I can rotate the bolt both directions but it won't come out. I have
hammered the hell out of it, but it won't budge. I am planning on
buying a new bolt, so damaging it is not an issue. Any ideas on how to
get it out? Cutting torch? Small explosive?
