cadintosh bug report

Post by RowlandCarson » Fri Feb 26, 2016 10:59 am

Thorsten - I am using the latest version of CADintosh 8.1.5 (build 268) on OS X 10.9.5 and have found a bug.

To demonstrate the symptom, open a previously-saved drawing. Add an area to it, then close the file. No warning will be issued that the file has been changed, and the next time it is opened the area that was defined will be absent.

As far as I am aware, this does not occur with any other changes made to the drawing (new object, change page setup, etc); all other changes result in the red blob at top left acquiring a central dot, and if the file is closed a “do you want to save changes?” dialogue comes up.

Please investigate why definition of a new area does not indicate to CADintosh that the file has been changed.

cadintosh bug report

Thorsten - I tried to use the multi-page print feature on a newly-created test drawing and found it did not work properly.

You can see the whole drawing shrunk to fit one sheet in the file “grid test all.pdf” in my dropbox folder at:

https://www.dropbox.com/sh/x909yc4iffbnv1f/AACmJ8Wq3EspY2OPDeKtBFMFa?dl=0

The “main” area of the drawing will print on 9 sheets of A4 if I use “print > main” menu option - see the file “grid test main A4.pdf” in the dropbox folder.

However, when I used the “multipage print” option it produced 6 sheets of A4, all with cutting marks, but only the first sheet had any of the drawing present - the bottom left corner, with squares 1A to 3B visible. the other 5 sheets were blank apart from the cutting marks.

Also, the cutting marks are incomplete. The bottom left and top left are L-shaped as expected but the top right and bottom right are only horizontal lines. I guess that part of the cutting marks have fallen outside the printable area.

Please fix this problem, and incorporate a dialogue box for choosing the printer (including PDF).
