Thorsten - I've asked repeatedly* about the ellipse tool failing to work like any of the other tools such as line or circle. Is fixing that on the to-do list?

Hi Rowland,
the ellipse tool is currently a special element (an xline with 4 points which is filled with the ellipse).
Support for working like the other tools will require a complete new implementation of that element.
Currently the complete reprogramming of the interface has priority. We have to rewrite the complete GUI in cocoa for the new features like fullscreen, 64 bit etc. 
That will take around one year.

Ah, so it's not a 'location' you are specifying, but an 'offset'. Now it makes sense and I can see why entering 0,0 produced the exact result I was after.
Some additional explanation in the manual would greatly help others in understanding this.
