I am assuming that the 4 rings are to create a lip that the rib would mount to. If this is the case - replacing the inner rings with a collar shroud would do the same thing and it would be cheaper and lighter.

Just my two cents -

In preparing for the collar build I am using Craig's V2.1 blueprints. If using 4 acrylic rings to create the collar , the sizes appear to be these diameters.
Lower ring 14.50
Upper ring 10.50
Lower inside ring 15.50 ?
Upper inside ring 11.50 ?

This would seem to work for the V2.1 rib blueprint that shows a 2.00 length from lower end to furthest point out. Using the above sizes would only give a .50 overhang surface of the inside rings for the ribs to glue against. That would leave the rings to be more visible from the outside of the collar. Are the v2.1 blueprints sizes intended more for using the aluminum channel?
