Evening All

I'm slowly pulling the big guy together for a Chrima card photo and
thought I'd send out some images of my arm support system.

I'm using actuators and servos to give some animation (in and out and
claw action). My arms are quite heavy (over 10 pounds each) so I use a
polycarbonate (riot gear plastic) CCS for safety. The arms rest on
"wings" that slip onto the CCS once the torso is in place. Beneath
each wing is an adjustable support brace that slips in place to funnel
the weight to the bottom place. The arms are lashed into place with
Velcro straps for easy adjustments.

My unit is "finished" so now I'm practicing coding with EZ to bring
him to life (radar section, arms, and soil sampler). Waist control is
also by EZ. That's running.

I'm quite pleased. No experience with electronics or engineering. 4
years in the making and I'm still married.
