To be fair to everyone that has asked for these information.

I am releasing it to the group - David - when you get a chance please
include the files on the web site.

Explanation - this is the collar that I have been making. For the V2
convention - You will have to deal with the height of the trapezoids and
the size of the outer diameter of both plates. As that the trapezoids
are at an angle - it will not be an easy task of just shorting them. As
this will change the contact point for either the top or bottom plate.

The holes in the top plate are for the Radar Animation kit - please let
me know if you have to move any of these holes.

Also attached is a picture of how to start putting the frame together.
Note the position of the holes - you can build the collar with the top
and bottom plate in the wrong position.

Hope you got to pre=order the Lost and Found in space book I know I did...
Now to my question of the day: Is Dave's print the version 2 Collar? If not any  I can get the dimensions so I can start planning making a jig get my tools and see if I can make these? I would like to make them one I have learn the technique and can make a process that I can repeat over and over again

No, Dave Painter's Collar is definitely not v2. DP's blueprints are circa 1998ish... Dave made those beautiful blueprints with the best information available at the time, and although much of the drawings and dimensions are still dead-on accurate, many parts are not and there has been much research and access to accurate reference material since then.

If I had a J2 type man cave I would post those drawings up as a piece of art in full size. I shall take a look at the link and start my journey to learning how nit is not made until I get it right :)the site posted of what I am able to do!

No, Dave Painter's Collar is definitely not v2. DP's blueprints are circa 1998ish... Dave made those beautiful blueprints with the best information available at the time, and although much of the drawings and dimensions are still dead-on accurate, many parts are not and there has been much research and access to accurate reference material since then.

I am releasing it to the group - David - when you get a chance please

Explanation - this is the collar that I have been making. For the V2
convention - You will have to deal with the height of the trapezoids and
the size of the outer diameter of both plates. As that the trapezoids
are at an angle - it will not be an easy task of just shorting them. As
this will change the contact point for either the top or bottom plate.

The holes in the top plate are for the Radar Animation kit - please let
