I want to send a shout out to my ol buddy (who I've never actually met...), Dave Schulpious.  Back in mid January, he posted a "Wiring a POT for Volume Control for Dummies" how to.  I finally got around to following it step by step and I now have a harness to control B9's volume via the torso knob.
As you can see in the pic, I've already got the knob mounted to a POT on the torso.  So I wired it up using an extra POT and knob and will transfer inside when I'm ready.  Took less than an hour and works like a champ!
Dave, it may seem like very little to you, but your input is invaluable.  Thank you sir!
Now if I could just finish the ACS BASIC code which will run the CFIII unit (I'm about 90% there), I'll be ready to mount the neon and have him talking!
Best,
Jeff-

Thanks Ken. It means a lot. I m very proud of him so far and I never dreamed that I d have the ability to create such a project. My background is definitely not in the areas of craftsmanship, but you learn a lot about yourself when you get into something like this (for instance, I can t solder! This is why I used connectors on my harness in the pic).  Anyway, mine is amazingly simple compare to the marvels created by the other builders. But that s the joy of it. You build to satisfy yourself.  From: B9Builders@yahoogroups.com [mailto:B9Builders@yahoogroups.com]

Jeff,I'm sitting here in a trance staring at your gorgeous B9. Seeing the colorful glow of all the lights gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling; just like baseball. Ok, I stole that line but really, when I see the projects from other members, it makes me feel so excited that I will eventually have my own metallic friend. I just hope I can do half as good a job as those before me. Again; stunning machine. I am envious.  --Ken--

Hey Jeff, I'm thrilled my little drawing was able to help you out. I had totally forgotten I had posted that. Do you have the link? I have a friend down in Australia that's having sound problems and maybe that thread can help him out if he can take a look.
Ken's right; your B9 looks amazing. I love the paint and texture job. Looks just right. I can't wait to get my claws painted and installed on the robot. Every time I see those red claws on someone's B9 I get jealous. They're like the finishing touch. The cherry on top of the Ice cream sunday! Nice job.

You should like the paint job. I stole it from you! Also thanks on the texture job. I ve fretted over it. Although I m quite satisfied, I wish I would have done the SEM (as you did) rather than the stone fleck. SEM is so much more .uniform. But, again, I m happy with him.  I just found your post in my in box and will repost it now. I also saved it in a Word doc if you guys are interested. It s nice when things just work and thanks to you .it worked.  My son and I are now going to play Battlefield 4 with some friends in Tempe. So goodnight to you all!  Jeff-  From: B9Builders@yahoogroups.com [mailto:B9Builders@yahoogroups.com]
