Congratulations. I remember clearly the feeling of pride and excitement when my treadsection arrived from Eric. I also was in wonder at how nicely it was built and how close it looked like the real deal. My B9 coolness factor went up 100% that day. I felt the same things when the torso and bubble arrived. Signature parts for sure.

I got my very first B9 part today; Eric's steel tread section! I am now official owner of about 1/4 of the large parts! I contacted Eric on Monday & they were delivered this morning. Very fast turnaround & arrived unscathed & well packed in two separate cartons. I'm quite impressed with the weight & quality welds. Pre-hung soil sampler door is a perfect, seamless fit. I pulled out all the parts & immediately set the knee sections on & popped in the round, steel hinge plugs. Perfect! It also came with side panels, electric cord & switched outlet. Looks like a little bit of sanding before priming is all the steel will need.
I'm so grateful for the awesome vendors here. Since I'm no engineer, I am going to heavily depend on you folks to provide my parts. I cannot express enough how impressed I am with those of you who have built so many of your parts yourselves. I have an order in with Craig & have contacted another for a bubble. Trying to get some of the critical parts while I have some extra money.
Thanks to Eric for these treads. And thanks to you folks for listening to my shameless pride. I've posted a pic of the beauty setting on my living room floor.

I completely agree Dave. I have 99% of the parts to begin the big assembly

. Every part I have received I always had that huge excitement waiting for it to arrive. I think the fact that I live in the UK and the parts are coming all the way from America from such talented vendors with the same passion for our B9 friend adds to that too.

Thanks for the compliment Ken. I'm just trying to pass along some of the things that I've learned from other builders I've met along the way. I'm also proud to be able to try to fill Eric's shoes after he finishes selling the remaining treadsection's he has in stock. Dave Schulpius

Thanks, David! I can't believe how big the tread section is. I've only seen pictures of the robot & never appreciated the scale until I got these. The finished B9 must be quite impressive in person. I really enjoy your videos covering the progress on your B9; very cool. I hope to learn some engineering skills from your build with animatronics! There's so much information from everyone, it's hard to focus sometimes, lol.
I've been reading posts today & learned that you are to take over for Eric as vendor for these steel tread units. Sorry to hear that Eric had to give it up but happy to hear another great guy is stepping up for the group.
