Since I posted links...I don't know why you are suggesting this.

The problem is the audio has dramatic music mixed in with it.

Find the episode with the scream on it!

Dennis, I'd love to find that scream also. I always thought it was one of the most haunting, mournful and painful sounds I've ever heard from any sci fi show I've seen. If you find it anywhere please let me know.

There has been one Special effect that I have been trying to find. Uncle Angus's scream.

Sound like this

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x6yWkhJz6EQ

So I've found out that it is stock audio of a scream that electronically altered.

Unaltered...it's about 6 seconds of this . (I'm getting close to matching it)

I'm getting close

Sort of related but not needed because the LIS sound effect is available...

Humm, I'm totally stupid about this stuff but isn't there music editing software that can separate the music from voice tracks? The next question would be is this software available to us and affordable? Can common but good like Audacity do this job?

Not really, no. Modern music and shows are produced with multiple audio tracks but there is little chance this is something that survived if it was done this way at all.

On a sort of related note, one of my first purchases for my build was Dan Monroe's Robot Ramblings cd.  He lifted a lot of robot speaking sound bites from the show. Obviously, he used ones where there was no music or sound effects interrupting him.
Yet as I re-watch the show on blu ray I'm finding dozens of additional uninterrupted sound bites that are not on the cd. I wonder why he left them off.
If time permits, I'll try to lift them myself.

Dave,A plug-in to isolate vocals has been something audio guys have been wishing for for years. You can effectively do the reverse - eliminate the vocal - but eliminating all but the vocal is extremely difficult at best.
