Diesel fuel

Post by R G » Tue Jun 13, 2000 1:18 pm

I developed a definite lack of power from the 300 Cat on the way back from Urbana. Noticed it climbing hills. Finally discovered its source. Algae in the fuel. My coach sits for long periods of time and that is a breeding ground for the algae. All you diesels owners, go look at the clear bowl in your water / fuel separator. If it has some black colored goo in it there is a good chance you have it also. Easy fix though. An after market diesel additive takes care of it. 1 ounce per 100 gallons. RG
