Sewer hose in Isuzu Trek

Does anyone have a reason why I should NOT place the pvc pipe for storing our 20-ft sewer hose in the propane compartment? It would fit under the tank's metal flange, along the side of the tank. We seldom use this hose, because the 9-footer is enough for most locations. Access would be through the generator compartment door. Joann Figueras
