I have a gas Trek so situation may be different. I experienced similar problem and caused was traced to clogged fuel filter. Hope this helps. A clogged fuel filter.......interesting in its' simplicity. I was thinking along the lines of an intermittent short from somewhere in the battery compartment, or a vacuum link. I like your thought better. I'll check on it tomorrow. Thank you.
