During a recent meeting of about 15 Safari Trek owners, it was observed that the front bumper turn/park lamps on some units were half full of water etc. Upon inspection and removal of the lens it was found the lamps on both right and left sides were in fact half full of water and mud on my unit a model 2830, vintage 1997 with about 36K miles. The main reason or cause of the lamps filling with water and debris was the fact that they were installed upside down with the weep holes (drains) on top. I assume they left the factory in such a condition. Cosequently the lamp housing and lamp sockets will need replacing in my case as the corrision and rust took their toll on these lamps.
