Skin Corrosion

Post by Robert Willis » Tue Mar 14, 2000 5:48 am

Larry, I have the problem on the doors to my storage compartments, but not on the sides. Of course I have a 92 model.

Skin Corrosion

Post by Lawrence Hasiak » Sun Apr 23, 2000 9:25 am

This is a follow up about the corrosion on the outside of my class C Safari. I took the unit to the Florida SMC Service Center to have the repair work done. The entire aluminum skin was replaced on both sides of the MH. The work was completed on the day promised and as far as I can tell the job done was excellent. We haven't had any rain yet so I don't know about leaks. Now for the best part. When I was presented with the bill I first looked at the total which was over $5000 but stamped over it was GOOD WILL. Needless to say we were very happy since the motor home was 1 1/2 years out of warranty. I'm sure the story would be much different if I had a Winnabego. Larry Hasiak
