Update on Charlie Campton

Post by Richard G » Mon Jan 17, 2000 9:04 pm

Greetings to you all ; Some of you know Charlie (and Nan) Campton of Palmerton, Pa., others don't but likely would have enjoyed making their company. I got a note from Charlie recently and he asked me to fill in the Safari family about his health problems. Charlie continues to have problems with his transplanted kidneys and needs to undergo dialysis, hopefully the lesser peritoneal dialysis, but more likely, he'll need to visit a dialysis center three times a week for treatments. Compounding his kidney failure is the fact that he is anemic as well and requires twice weekly treatments to deal with that. He stated that the treatments are not working well and as a result he is feeling exhausted constantly. As a consequence Charlie and Nan have sold their Safari coach. He stated it was a very, very, difficult decision to have had to make but was necessary as realistically they won't be able to travel until he conquers his health problems. Charlie said he certainly misses everyone associated with the Safari family, and hopes to regain his health so that he may again purchase a Safari coach and continue to travel as it is a true love of theirs'. He asked for your prayers so that his health may improve enough to allow him and Nan to rejoin the Safari rallies. For those who wish to send Charlie a note his address is 304 Princeton Avenue, Palmerton, Pa., 18071-1323 Charlie is a great guy, please put him and his bride Nan in your daily prayers.
